Evelyn Brent is a Los Angeles-based portrait photographer known for her luminous studies of film stars, chorus girls and rising contract talent. 

Working from a small daylight studio off Sunset Boulevard, she creates images for movie magazines that capture both the polish of Hollywood publicity and the private intelligence behind a performer’s face.

Her style blends careful art direction with a natural eye for gesture: a tilted chin, a cigarette held mid-thought, a satin sleeve catching the light. Editors admire her ability to make celebrities feel intimate without losing their glamour, while actors trust her for portraits that suggest a life beyond the studio gates.
